The project, inspired by the paintings of the artist Monica Cook, refers to the theme of consumerism in today's world. The motif of ancient bacchanalia is connected with a reference to baroque vanitas still lives, where the formal but also the ideological outcome is real emptiness, transience, destruction and death. The images are a kind of reference to the bad sides of modern society: alienated, narcissistic, decadent, destructive, without relationships and real interest in life, longing only for material things. Behind the artificial facade of abundance lies the infinite emptiness of human existence.
